BUILDING BLOCKS OF

ASHLAR HOMES

At Ashlar Homes we value close supervision during the construction process to maximize our homeowners’ satisfaction and desires in their new home. A Project Manager is assigned to each and every home to oversee the entire building process from the pre-construction meeting with the homeowner through the final walk and closing.

CONTRACT

The contract represents the formal agreement between you, as the buyer, and Ashlar Homes. This document will confirm the agreed selling price of the product, neighborhood/lot, and specific plan along with structural options for your home.  Once your contract is processed, you will receive a invitation to join Builder Trend, this is our project management software which will help you to begin the selection process.

DESIGN & SELECTIONS

Once you accept the invitation to Builder Trend, you will have 30 days to make design selections with our approved Designer at Everleigh Design Studio in Blue Springs, Mo.  To make your design and selection experience in the all that it should be, please allow four hours for this appointment.  Your appliance selections will take place at Factory Direct Appliances at the location most convenient for you.

CONSTRUCTION & PLANNING MEETING

This appointment will take place sometime after you complete your selection process and before the end of your homes framing.  During this appointment, you will meet with your assigned Project Manager to confirm all aspects of the home. This will include the plan drawings, cabinet plans, electrical placement  (TV’s, phones, special lighting) etc.  This is a good time to come prepared with any questions you might have.

FOUNDATION & FRAMING

At this phase, we understand that this is an exciting stage and that you will be curious. However, the job site can be a dangerous location during this process due to the construction that is taking place. We ask that you only visit when accompanied by one of our Ashlar Homes Sales Team representatives.

INTERIOR & EXTERIOR FINISHES

You will complete a walk through with your Project Manager.  This walk through will confirm details on closet layouts and give you a chance to discuss the last finishing touches of the home.  During this time, we ask that you set up an appointment with a member of the Ashlar Homes Sales Team to gain entry to the home.

NEW HOME ORIENTATION

For your new home orientation, you will meet with your assigned Project Manager at the home. Your Project Manager will go over the systems of your new home. At this time, they will have a list of things that has been identified to require attention prior to closing. This is called a Punch List. During this meeting you will have the opportunity to add items to his list that need to attention before closing.

FINAL WALK THROUGH

You will meet with your Project Manager one last time to confirm that the punch list is complete. At this time, you will also meet Dana Webb our Warranty Administrator, who will go over the home warranty with you and how to submit warranty requests.  We recommend loading the Builder Trend App on your phone before this meeting.  Dana will be your contact for any warranty needs.

CLOSING & KEY DELIVERY

This is the best day of your building process.  You will meet at the title company where you will sign the final paperwork to make this house officially your new home.   Congratulations & Welcome to the Ashlar Homes family. 

Ashlar Homes is committed to providing you with a quality product that you will enjoy for years. We are also committed to keeping to a schedule that will get you into your dream home as quickly as possible. We depend on the buyer to meet the deadlines for selection appointments and walk through meetings. This will allow Ashlar Homes a greater chance at meeting the set closing date. These appointments will need to be scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm.
